Methodology

How job information enters FedUp.work.

FedUp.work uses job data and employer application destinations to support discovery. Because job information changes quickly, sourcing is treated as an ongoing data-quality process rather than a one-time publication step.

How the process connects

  1. 1

    Receive

Load the structured fields supplied with a job record

  2. 2

    Reconcile

Resolve recommendations against the current job dataset

  3. 3

    Consolidate

    Combine matching title-and-employer duplicates

  4. 4

    Expire

Exclude expired records and queue stale-vector cleanup

Collection and normalization

FedUp.work receives structured job records containing fields such as title, employer, location, compensation, dates, work arrangement, and an application destination when those fields are supplied. The matching service standardizes values it needs for comparison and filtering.

Availability and field completeness vary by record. A missing field may remain incomplete, so the original application destination is the controlling source for current responsibilities, requirements, compensation, and application instructions.

Duplicates and freshness

  • Recommended records with the same normalized job title and employer are consolidated before results are returned.
  • Recommendations are reconciled against the current job dataset. Missing or explicitly expired records are excluded from active matching and their stale search vectors are queued for cleanup.
  • Public pages for retained expired jobs are marked not to be indexed; a job that is no longer retained returns a gone response.
  • Users should confirm compensation, location, eligibility, closing dates, and application requirements on the employer destination before applying.

Corrections and removals

Employers, rights holders, and users can report an incorrect, duplicated, expired, or misattributed listing to support@fedup.work. Include the FedUp.work job URL and the authoritative destination or correction when available.
