Our partner is looking for a Director – Contracts, Procurement, and Compliance based in United States. This is a senior operating leadership role responsible for overseeing contracts, procurement, certifications, and risk and compliance activities. Reporting directly to the President, you will coordinate a specialized contractor team and ensure requests are handled efficiently from intake through resolution. You’ll serve as a central escalation point for clients, internal stakeholders, and complex operational matters. The role combines hands-on operational leadership with governance, compliance oversight, and strategic risk management. You’ll maintain critical certifications, support government-contract compliance, and ensure policies and procedures remain current and effective. Success requires strong judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to recognize when matters require legal or executive involvement. This remote position offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen a critical business function within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. \n Accountabilities Lead the day-to-day operations of four functional areas: contracts, procurement and sourcing, certifications, and risk and compliance. Own the shared intake and ticketing queue, ensuring requests are appropriately triaged, assigned, acknowledged, and resolved within established service commitments. Manage and coordinate a team of 1099 contractors, setting priorities, standards, expectations, and deadlines while maintaining accountability for delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation resource for client and internal requests, keeping relevant stakeholders informed throughout each engagement. Manage engagements from discovery through execution and close, including discovery calls, action planning, coordination, follow-through, and resolution. Maintain company and client certifications and accreditations and ensure applicable government-contract compliance obligations are fulfilled. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, controls, and governance practices across the four functional areas. Establish and maintain a consistent governance and risk-review cadence that provides independent oversight of operational risks. Assess complex matters and determine when Legal or the President should be engaged, providing appropriate context and recommendations. Monitor and report on intake volume, queue health, turnaround times, service performance, and material risks to the President. Identify opportunities to improve processes, service delivery, accountability, and cross-functional coordination. Requirements 7+ years of experience in compliance, contracts, procurement, sourcing, or a related operations discipline. Direct experience with government contracting, ideally including federal and state, local, and education (SLED) procurement and contract compliance. Demonstrated people-management experience, including responsibility for employees and/or contractors, their deliverables, priorities, and deadlines. Working knowledge of certifications and accreditations relevant to government contracting. Experience with government-contracting agreements and documents such as MSAs, SOWs, teaming agreements, and NDAs. Practical experience with procurement and sourcing activities. Familiarity with governance, risk management, audit processes, and compliance controls. Strong organizational skills, follow-through, judgment, and the ability to manage a shared intake queue against defined service commitments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the credibility to build trusted client relationships and act as an effective escalation point. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to complex or unfamiliar situations. Sound judgment regarding when to escalate issues to Legal or executive leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and responsiveness. Experience operating a shared-services or ticket-based intake model is preferred. Professional credentials such as CFCM, CPCM, CO/COR, or a relevant compliance certification are a plus. Benefits $130,000–$140,000 annual salary. Full-time, exempt position. Remote work environment. Senior-level responsibility reporting directly to the President. Opportunity to lead four interconnected business functions spanning contracts, procurement, certifications, and risk and compliance. Opportunity to manage and develop a specialized contractor team. Collaborative, innovative, and diverse working environment. Opportunity to influence governance, operational processes, compliance practices, and client service standards. Commitment to an inclusive workplace that supports authenticity, belonging, and equal opportunity. Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
