Your work will help federal, state, and local agencies preserve trees, protect public spaces, and maintain the landscapes that serve our communities. RTEC Treecare has proudly served the Washington Metropolitan region for more than 30 years, providing professional tree care, plant health care, and environmental services to residential, commercial, municipal, and government clients. As we continue to grow our government portfolio, we're looking for an experienced Government Contracts Administrator to own the administration of our federal contracting function and become a key member of our team. The Opportunity This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys organization, compliance, process improvement, and working with multiple departments. You'll support government contracts from award through closeout while helping leadership identify new opportunities and ensure every contract is managed accurately and professionally. What You'll Do Federal Contract Administration Manage federal contracts from award through closeout. Maintain complete, audit-ready contract files. Track contract modifications, option years, pricing, CLINs, labor categories, and deliverables. Maintain contractor registrations including SAM.gov, GSA systems, and other federal portals. Compliance Ensure compliance with FAR and agency requirements. Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts. Coordinate documentation required for audits and reporting. Proposal & Business Development Monitor SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, and procurement opportunities. Support RFQs, RFPs, proposals, and contract renewals. Maintain the government opportunity pipeline. Cross-Functional Coordination Work with operations, accounting, sales, estimators, and leadership. Coordinate with contracting officers and agency representatives. Recommend improvements to contracting processes. We're Looking for Someone Who Has 3+ years of federal contract administration experience. Understands FAR and federal procurement practices. Has experience with GSA contracts, BPAs, IDIQs, Task Orders, or similar vehicles. Is highly organized and detail-oriented. Communicates professionally with internal teams and government agencies. Enjoys improving systems and taking ownership. Bonus Points If You Have Environmental services, forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or landscape industry experience. Construction, facilities, or field service experience. A genuine appreciation for trees, plant health, environmental stewardship, and preserving green spaces.
