Full Job Description

We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate with a strong understanding of the US government Federal Civil and Healthcare services market who is excited to apply strategy and M&A advisory skills to complex, mission-driven markets. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working at the intersection of federal missions, market economics, and private-sector strategy, translating government complexity into actionable growth decisions for government services providers. Candidates should have experience in both the Federal Civilian (Fed-Civ) and Healthcare services markets. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the Federal Health market, in particular, with experience at or familiarity with companies that provide services to Health and Human Services (HHS), Veterans Affairs (VA), the Defense Health Agency (DHA), and the broader Military Health System (MHS). Successful applicants must demonstrate: • Strong interest in Federal Health, with familiarity or enthusiasm for agencies including VA, DHA, and HHS • A demonstrated passion for – and experience in – the US government services market with a Healthcare or Fed-Civ focus • An interest in working on transformative strategy and M&A diligence engagements • Experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy and development • Strong project management, junior team mentorship and client executive facing skills • Rigorous analytical skills and comfort with guiding teams through complex quantitative analysis, including market sizing, budget analysis, and competitive assessments • An ability to combine these skillsets with a core understanding of client needs to drive clarity and confidence for consequential project outcomes • Preparedness to work in-person based in the Washington DC area as part of an engaged firm culture Primary day-to-day responsibilities – Commercial Aerospace Associate or Senior Associate • Manage strategy and M&A projects with oversight of junior teammates, upward and client management • Work with Partners and Principals on business development initiatives • Mentor analysts and collaborate with peers across the firm, be a steward of our sector IP • Structure approaches to project execution with excellent analysis and insight, foresight into client goals • Deliver/communicate reports and findings to client management and/or executive leadership Preferred qualifications • 5 to 10 years of work experience in strategy, corporate development, or M&A roles in US government services companies or consulting firms • Familiarity with federal budgeting, appropriations, contract vehicles, and buyer organizations (e.g., HHS Operating Divisions, VA administrations, DHA and the Military Health System) • Strong Bachelor’s academic background; MBA or advanced degree preferred • Strong acumen in business writing and communication with team members and senior clients • Experience leading teams and interfacing with senior executives • Experience with data analysis and visualization methods • Applicants must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. • Application requirements include a CV/resume and cover letter
