Assist participants in structuring a job search - Assistance in completing their Individual Reemployment Plan (IRP) - Walkthrough of labor market report - Receiving a targeted list of referrals to resources that can best help them get back to work - Guidance in completing their Maine JobLink profile and using the site's resources and tools Primary Responsibilities: Respond to layoffs and business closures by contacting employers, collecting information, and providing layoff or layoff-aversion services. Deliver presentations to individuals and groups, including audiences of up to several hundred dislocated workers. Interview and assess customers to guide career, education, and training decisions. Determine eligibility and refer customers to programs, services, and employment opportunities. Facilitate employment and training-related workshops. Provide business services and workforce support to Maine employers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the community and program partners. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of job search strategies and workforce placement techniques. Ability to assess individual skills, interests, and needs in relation to career opportunities. Strong interview and counseling skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
