Job Title: Specialist, Program Management Job Code: 33970 Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off   Job Description:   We are seeking an experienced professional with strong practical knowledge of project management to support and lead impactful programs within our team. In this role, you will manage projects or processes under general supervision, driving meaningful improvements to systems, processes, and operational performance. You will collaborate across internal teams and external partners to explain, interpret, and enhance operational practices while influencing project outcomes. This is an opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical efforts where innovation, analysis, and execution matter.   Essential Functions:   Manage projects or defined processes within the job area, including planning, execution, and delivery under general supervision Recommend and implement moderate to significant improvements to systems, processes, or solutions to enhance performance Communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., customers, vendors) to explain and interpret operational processes and procedures Analyze complex, multi-disciplinary problems and develop creative, data-driven solutions based on prior experience and investigation Contribute to achieving operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members within the job area as needed Delegate work and review work products to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with project objectives Support root-cause analysis efforts for undefined or difficult problems spanning multiple functional areas Ability to travel 10-20% Ability to obtain a US security clearance   Qualifications:   Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.   Preferred Additional Skills:   Active Secret security clearance Experience contributing to or leading projects with responsibility for improving processes, systems, or operational outcomes Experience driving process improvements across complex technical or operational environments Background supporting government, defense, aerospace, or highly regulated programs Experience coordinating work across multiple teams, disciplines, or stakeholders Familiarity with root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies Experience influencing project objectives and outcomes without direct authority   #SM-1
