Talon Hiring Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team in the Birmingham, AL area. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, outside sales or account management within the staffing industry, with a proven ability to sell staffing and workforce solutions. This individual will play a key role in expanding our client base, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through new and existing business opportunities. What you will do: Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities within key industries including Engineering, IT, Accounting & Finance, and other professional disciplines. Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new client relationships and expand existing accounts. Conduct client meetings to understand hiring challenges and present customized staffing solutions. Collaborate with internal recruiting teams to ensure client needs are met with high-quality candidates and timely delivery. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and acting as a trusted business partner. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service in alignment with company goals and standards. Track and report business development activities using CRM tools, maintaining accurate records of leads, opportunities, and outcomes. Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and staffing industry developments to identify opportunities for growth. What you will bring: 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the staffing or recruiting industry required. Proven success in selling staffing solutions to small, mid-sized, and large organizations. Prior recruiting experience within the staffing industry is highly desired. Experience recruiting or selling across multiple disciplines and industries (engineering, technical, professional, etc.). Strong understanding of the recruiting process and talent acquisition lifecycle. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
