Job Summary The Director of Operations will report to the Readiness & Sustainment (R&S) Vice President, Operations, and will oversee a diverse portfolio exceeding $100M annually. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of services to U.S. and international government clients as well as commercial aerospace customers. You will be directly responsible for managing cost, schedule, and delivery, while driving revenue, income, and cash flow. Your leadership will be key in developing and executing strategies to support future growth, with a focus on increasing margins and evolving differentiated solutions. A deep understanding of KBR’s sustainability pillars, as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity, will be essential to your success in this role. This is a remote position based in the U.S., with a travel requirement of approximately 25-40%. Roles and Responsibilities Lead and oversee task planning, resource allocation, and effort estimation across multiple large projects or product lines. Manage project data integration, track financials, quality levels, and implement corrective actions based on variance and critical path analysis. Balance customer expectations with internal business goals, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy. Direct large functional teams through the execution of process roadmaps, integrating quality and resource management into project planning. Oversee the monthly P&L review process with Program Managers and PP&C, proactively identifying and resolving efficiency issues. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, positioning KBR as a leader in delivering innovative, cutting-edge solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement long-term strategies that meet business and customer objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, developing differentiated solutions that support future growth and increase margins. Ensure compliance with KBR Performance Excellence (KPEX) standards and associated cost management. Develop and mentor a diverse team of senior program managers and operations managers, focusing on leadership development and succession planning. Basic Qualifications Proven track record as a senior leader with experience in operational and people management, including managing multiple teams. Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, business, or a related field, with at least 12 years of directly related experience (20 years of experience considered in lieu of formal education). Extensive experience in program management, with advanced knowledge of estimation methods, critical path analysis, and earned value techniques. Demonstrated ability to integrate process and quality dimensions into project planning and execution. Strong business acumen with experience in budgetary planning, cost control, and financial management. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (M.S./MBA) in a related field. Experience working in cross-functional roles and in business operations. Current Top-Secret security clearance. Experience in a federal contract environment, with knowledge of KBR Performance Excellence (KPEX) and associated cost management principles.
