Position Purpose: Drives the development and execution of strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience and compliance. This executive role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation. Focus of the role is to ensure operational performance of the Population Health & Clinical Outcomes Organization (PHCO) through the reporting of key metrics, process improvement, audits, and execution. Set and align strategic objectives with the overall business strategy. Identify and prioritize key areas for operational improvement and enable the execution of improvement. Oversee the Project Management Office for the PHCO organization Oversee the implementation of operational excellence initiatives, ensuring successful execution and desired outcomes. Oversee the enterprise clinical appeals organization Establish and manage a robust clinical operational compliance oversight program to support regulatory adherence. Analyze and optimize operational processes using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Standardize processes to ensure consistency and efficiency. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational initiatives. Lead and mentor teams in operational excellence practices. Build a high-performing team and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and opportunities. Communicate strategies and initiatives effectively to all stakeholders. Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement reporting systems to track operational performance and present findings to senior management. Ensure compliance with Plan, Do, Check, and Adjust processes. Track and report on operational excellence measures through regular accountability mechanisms. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree in a related field preferred. 10+ years healthcare operations experience required. Six Sigma and deep operational experience preferred Previous experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance. required. Large-scale experience within environments regulated by state and federal agencies preferred. Pay Range: $250,000 - $480,000 Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
