Description Key Accountabilities: Develop & maintain a culture of Safety on the shop floor, including enforcing company disciplinary and safety policies May work in conjunction with quality control department to determine cause of any non-conformance issues and make recommendations for production changes as necessary. Manage and oversee the daily operations of production lines. Schedule filter production and make sure production goals are met. Follow all regulatory guidelines and industry standards. Work to develop improvements to the production process. Provide feedback to employees as to whether production goals are met. Schedule employees for overtime. Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing/production lines and equipment are in good operating order. Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operators are working to procedure. Responsible for determining and coordinating manufacturing operations to meet production schedules. May make decisions and/or recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, terminations, overtime, and work schedules. Enforces company policy in all areas including safety and absenteeism. Administers disciplinary action when appropriate. Trains hourly employees on job functions and the operation of various machines. Maintains cleanliness of the work area, ensures proper handling of tools and equipment, and correct operation of machinery to provide a safe working environment. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements Position Requirements: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Requires a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role; manufacturing environment preferred. 3. Knowledge of filter and/or assembly procedures required. 4. Management skills required to direct the daily operations of the department. 5. Must have mathematical skills needed to track production numbers and complete daily production paperwork and reports. 6. Requires the ability to read blueprints and interpret product drawings. 7. Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/64 of an inch. 8. Strong written and verbal communication skills must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees, management, support staff and vendors. 9. Ability to lead others with assistance from Supervisors and Managers. 10. Capable of making independent decisions regarding personnel and production issues.
