We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist to support federal contracting operations in Philadelphia, PA. This role works closely with Contracting Officers (COs), Contract Specialists (CSs), and program stakeholders to assist in acquisition planning, contract administration, and procurement activities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, familiarity with federal acquisition processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits: Eligible employees may participate in the company’s benefits programs, which may include: - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays - Life and disability insurance Key Responsibilities: - Support Contracting Officers (COs) and Contract Specialists (CSs) in acquisition planning activities, including conducting and documenting market research - Assist in the development and administration of wage adjustments in accordance with the Service Contract Act (SCA) - Provide contract administration support by documenting procedures and maintaining tools to track contract performance, deliverables, and procurement activities - Support contractual and financial operations to ensure alignment with program goals and compliance requirements - Provide procurement support across a variety of actions, including ratifications, claims, and bid protests - Assist with contract closeout activities by conducting audits and analyses of contract files, including program and financial documentation, to ensure completion of services, proper invoicing, and payment - Support documentation of contract actions, including terminations (default or convenience), and assist in negotiations and resolution of claims or disputes - Assist in the preparation, processing, and modification of procurement instruments, including Delivery Orders, Task Orders, Purchase Orders (POs), and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) - Maintain accurate and organized contract files in accordance with federal regulations and internal policies Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, or a related field preferred - 2 to 5 years of experience supporting federal contracts or government procurement activities - Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements - Experience supporting contract lifecycle activities, including acquisition planning, administration, and closeout - Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting federal agencies such as the Federal Protective Service (FPS) or similar - Knowledge of IDIQ contracts, BPAs, and federal procurement systems - Prior experience supporting audits, claims, or contract disputes Work Environment: This position is based in Philadelphia, PA on-site.
