Job DetailsJob Location: ALM-New Orleans La Area Command - New Orleans, LA 70125Job Category: Fundraising & Donor RelationsSchedule/Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm This position is responsible for: Plans, develops, implements, administers, and sustains an aggressive Financial Development Plan targeting the assigned area; develops, plans and conducts appropriate fundraising activities in support of the Division's budget and program; submits program to the Officer (s) in charge for review, direction, and approval. Performs both short and long term program planning and develops recommendations for enhancing Financial Development Program effectiveness; develops finance development goals for each program and monitors progress to ensure goals are attained; establishes methods and measures for monitoring and evaluating fundraising goals and objectives. Plans, develops, and initiates a fundraising strategy to develop corporate gifts and sponsorships as well as foundation support for special programs and projects' researches financial status and philosophy of organizations to identify potential prospects for major gifts; contacts corporations to identify corporate representative responsible for donor solicitation; cultivates and maintains an effective working relationships with corporate officials. Ensures that all donor data is keyed and securely housed in Interchange, the mandated donor management system, within 72 hours of the event (communication, visit, etc.) Key Responsibilities: Develops and coordinates the operation of fundraising appeals; identifies new and inventive methods of increasing direct mail appeals; works closely with mailing service firm to ensure productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency. Manages the local social media strategy by expanding its presence ad increasing visibility, awareness and traffic across all social and online platforms as appropriate. Works with the Office (s) in charge, their boards and committees do develop local promotional plans; conducts presentation to the advisory boards. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to travel throughout the service area n a frequent basis to work with divisional an local unit financial development staff, their donors, and professionals of the communities. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to understand and manage budgets and financial matters. Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures and physical discomforts associated with traveling by vehicle.
